The win – their fifth consecutive in the tournament – gives Jamaica 60 points and they have a chance to widen that gap when they take on Combined Campuses and Colleges in the last league match on April 25.Wicketkeeper Carlton Baugh and fast bowler Sheldon Cotterrell were the pillars of Jamaica’s win over Guyana. Batting first, Jamaica had slumped to 12 for 4 after fast bowler Keon Joseph ran through the top order. They were a precarious 88 for 6 before Baugh and Nikita Miller added 89 runs for the seventh wicket, taking Jamaica towards the 200-run mark. The side was eventually all out for 208. Joseph picked up four wickets for 53 runs while Devendra Bishoo took 3 for 51.In reply, Guyana crumbled to 96 all out. They were 10 for 5 at one stage and the pace-bowling pair of Cotterrell and Andrew Richardson dismissed as many as five batsmen for ducks. Fast bowler David Bernard then dismissed the lower order, the only resistance coming from captain Veerasammy Permaul who played a lone hand of 49.Baugh narrowly missed out on his 13th first-class hundred, caught short of the crease on 99, as Jamaica went about extending their 112-run lead in the second innings. He shared a 138-run, sixth-wicket partnership with Blackwood before Jamaica declared their innings at 257 for 8, setting Guyana a target of 370.The Jamaican bowlers dismissed Guyana for 155 to set up their side’s fifth win of the tournament. Except for a 70 from Leon Johnson, Guyana put up another dismal batting display and finish the competition fifth on the points table, after losing four of their six matches.

Put in to bat first, Leewards were a relatively safe 102 for 2 before they lost eight wickets for 27 runs. Shane Shillingford picked up six of those wickets to finish with figures of 7 for 45 off 17.5 overs. Kieran Powell was the only Leewards batsman to fire, scoring 51.In reply, Windwards recovered from a score of 58 for 5 to post 268. Captain Liam Sebastien led the recovery with an innings of 93 and received support from Lindon James (21) and Shillingford (42). Yannick Leonard was the most successful bowler for Leewards, picking up four wickets for 63 runs.With a lead of 139 to wipe out, the Leewards’ batsmen failed for the second time. Powell’s second fifty of the match was the only substantial innings, after the batsmen squandered their starts and the side were out for 158, narrowly avoiding an innings defeat. Sebastien followed up his half-century with a five-wicket haul, while Shillingford picked up three wickets to take his match haul to ten. Windwards strolled past their target of 20 for the loss of just one wicket.
ScorecardSplendid bowling efforts from Miguel Cummins and Sulieman Benn took Barbados to victory over Trinidad & Tobago in just two days at Port of Spain. Both teams have qualified for the semi-final. Barbados with 48 points are placed third in the league, while Trinidad and Tobago are fourth.T&T batted first, losing wickets at regular intervals. Cummins starred with the ball, taking 7 for 45, as T&T were scuttled out for 109 in 37 overs. The only real form of resistance came from batsman Imran Khan with his unbeaten 30.Barbados in reply posted 194 before being dismissed. Contributions from Kirk Edwards (29), Shane Dowrich (24), Benn (22) and an unbeaten 56 from Javon Searles ensured they had a slim 85-run lead going into the next innings.T&T in their second innings simply couldn’t muster enough runs as Benn, Searles and Cummins combined to blast them out for just 129. Imran Khan once again top-scored with 33, while contributions from Lendl Simmons (26) and Rayad Emrit (26) were not enough to create a significant advantage. Benn ran through the order with 5 for 49, with Searles complementing him with 3 for 26.This left just 45 runs for Barbados to chase for victory. The openers would see off the chase as Barbados won by 10 wickets. With this result they are tied on 48 points with Jamaica and Windward Islands, but Jamaica has played two less matches, while Windward has played one less. This means the points scenario could change in the next fixtures.

Hobart will not host a Test or ODI next summer for the first time in 25 years after Cricket Australia confirmed the schedule for its pared-back limited-overs fixtures against England. However, Bellerive Oval will hold one of three Twenty20 internationals against England as part of the longest bilateral T20 international series ever held in Australia, a three-match battle that will follow a series of five one-day internationals.The dates for the Ashes Tests were announced in November and at the time Cricket Australia said the number of ODIs would be cut back to five, which would be the fewest one-day games in a home summer in 34 years. On Thursday, Cricket Australia released the fixture for the limited-overs portion of the summer, which will run from January 12 to February 2.Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Perth and Adelaide will each host a one-day international before the action moves to Hobart, Melbourne and Sydney’s Stadium Australia for the Twenty20s. It will be the first time since Bellerive Oval first hosted an international match in 1988 that the ground has not been given a Test or ODI in a season. كشفت إذاعة “مونت كارلو” الفرنسية عن أسباب انقلاب قائد الديوك، كيليان مبابي، على إدارة باريس سان جيرمان في الساعات القليلة الماضية وإبلاغهم بعدم تمديد عقده.

ويتضمن عقد مبابي مع باريس سان جيرمان بند لتفعيل موسم آخر بعد نهاية الموسم المقبل ليستمر حتى يونيو 2025 ولكن بموافقة الطرفين.

وقرر مبابي عدم تفعيل هذا البند، مما وضع باريس سان جيرمان في موقف حرج لأن ذلك يعني أنه سيرحل بالمجان في 30 يونيو 2024، وبالتالي، بدأ النادي الفرنسي بالتفكير في رحيله الآن للاستفادة المادية مع وجود اهتمام من ريال مدريد الذي لا يفضل النادي الفرنسي بيع اللاعب له بأي مبلغ مالي.

وأفاد التقرير أن مبابي يشعر بأن إدارة باريس سان جيرمان لم تفي بوعودها معه والتي مدد بسببها عقده قبل نهاية الموسم قبل الماضي.

بات مبابي يشكك في قدرة باريس سان جيرمان في إعادة بناء الفريق الأول لكرة القدم بالطريقة الصحيحة من أجل المنافسة على الألقاب خاصة لقب دوري أبطال أوروبا.

أما السبب الثاني وهو ما كشفت عنه شركة “Media Part” وهو أن إدارة باريس سان جيرمان قد استأجرت جيشًا إلكترونيًا لتشويه سمعة بعض لاعبيه على وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي بما فيهم مبابي.

وعبر مبابي عن غضبه الشديد بعد هذه التقارير وقال بعد مباراة أمام أولمبيك مارسيليا في الدوري الفرنسي قبل كأس العالم قطر 2022: “لم أطلب الرحيل في يناير، لكنني لم أفهم جيدًا المعلومات التي نشرت في يوم مباراة بنفيكا (في دوري أبطال أوروبا)، لقد صُدمت مثل الجميع، هناك بعض الأشخاص الذين اعتقدوا أنني مشارك في هذا الفعل، لكن لم يحدث وشعرت بالدهشة مما يحدث”.

بعد هذه التصريحات، قامت الصحافة الفرنسية بتسريب تفاصيل راتب مبابي مع باريس سان جيرمان من خلاص صحيفة “لو باريزيان” التي أكدت أن عقد مبابي يتضمن راتبًا بإجمالي قدره 72 مليون يورو سنويًا، أو 6 ملايين شهريًا بالإضافة إلى مكافآت أكبر بثلاث مرات مما حصل عليه في الموسم قبل الماضي مع مكافأة توقيع على العقد الجديد بقيمة 180 مليون يورو تدفع على ثلاث أقساط وهو ما أغضب اللاعب من الإدارة.

كشف الاتحاد الأوروبي لكرة القدم “يويفا”، عن تميمة النسخة المقبلة من بطولة كأس أمم أوروبا، يورو 2024، والتي ستقام في ألمانيا مع حملة تنشيط للأطفال في القارة العجوز.

وتلعب بطولة كأس أمم أوروبا 2024 في ألمانيا، خلال الفترة من 14 يونيو إلى 14 يوليو من العام المقبل، على 10 ملاعب، بمشاركة 24 منتخبًا.

وتأتي التميمة على شكل دب، وهو يعتبر لعبة الأطفال الشهيرة في ألمانيا، والتي قيل إنها ظهرت في أوائل القرن العشرين.

وجاء انطلاق التميمة من مدرسة ابتدائية في مدينة “جيلسنكيرشن”، حيث فوجئ الأطفال بزيارة مدرسية من قبل الاتحاد الألماني لكرة القدم، لشرح معنى التميمة للأطفال والمسؤولين قبل مباراة كولومبيا الودية مساء اليوم، الثلاثاء.

وتهدف التميمة بحسب ما ذكر البيان الرسمي للاتحاد الأوروبي لكرة القدم “يويفا”، تشجيع الأطفال في جميع أنحاء أوروبا على حب كرة القدم وقيمها مع حملة #MakeMoves.

وأطلق “يويفا” استفتاءً جماهيريًا موسعًا عبر موقعه الإلكتروني لاختيار اسم للتميمة من 4 اختيارات وهي ألبارت، بارناردو، بارنهارت وهيرزي فون بار.

-O Botafogo vai com a logo do Sou Botafogo (para o jogo deste sábado, no Estádio Raulino de Oliveira). Não há a seguinte preocupação: “Ah, não estamos com publicidade na camisa”. A nossa preocupação é traçar negociações com potenciais patrocinadores que sejam bem relevantes financeiramente. Temos N negociações em planejamento, para máster e outras posições na camisa. Sem estresse algum. As negociações estão andando há várias semanas, e continuarão ao longo do mês de março, ou até em abril.

-Temos vontade de iniciar o Brasileiro com o patrocínio máster e outros concluídos. Mas, entre pegar um patrocínio hoje ou daqui a 30 dias que seja valor X-20%, prefiro esperar e firmar com um patrocínio X ou X+20% em um momento mais oportuno. Essa é a estratégia correta, pois tem muita gente interessada. Hoje, não posso citar nomes e nem quem pode estar mais encaminhado, até por não ter autorização delas, porém estamos negociando com cerca de dez empresas. Além de salientar o desejo de contar com um patrocinador máster até o início do Brasileirão, o que ocorrerá no dia 28 de abril,Rotenberg agradeceu à Caixa, que era a principal parceira do Botafogo desde o último trimestre de 2016, quando o acordo previa R$ 12 milhões anuais – valor que diminuiu em seguida.

-Eu estive com o superintendente de marketing da Caixa do Rio de Janeiro, o doutor Alexandre Sampaio, no início da semana, para agradecer pelos pouco mais de dois anos que tivemos com a Caixa e o tratamento excepcional que o clube recebeu. Ele nos agradeceu, até pelo resultado espetacular de retorno para a empresa, e afirmou que teria vontade de seguir, mas que, por enquanto, há uma orientação para que não haja patrocínio junto ao futebol brasileiro. O Alexandre ainda sinalizou que gostaria de realizar novos projetos em conjunto com o Botafogo, talvez até fora do futebol, como uma parceria envolvendo um esporte olímpico. Isso seria a partir de abril.

O Botafogo já iniciou o processo de retirada da logo da Caixa em suas dependências, como embackdrops e placas de publicidade – todos as imagens devem sair até o fim deste mês, de acordo comRicardo Rotenberg. Para o clube, menos mal que Felipe Neto, um dos maiores youtubers do Brasil, renovou a parceria com o Glorioso e aumentou o investimento através da empresa Vigia Preço, exposta na propriedade comercial “esterno” da camisa – antes, junto ao irmão Luccas, investia via rede de lojas de coxinha Neto’s. Os valores do acordo recém-firmado, contudo, não foram revelados.

Em tempo: além do Vigia de Preço, Fit, Cercred e Baterax são outras empresas expostas nos uniformes do Botafogo.

James Vince hit a brutal 84 off only 49 balls to lead holders Hampshire to the top of the Friends Life t20 South Division with a seven-wicket thrashing of previous leaders Middlesex at Richmond.It looked as though Middlesex had set Hampshire a challenging target when Dawid Malan’s 77 enabled the hosts to reach 164 for 5 on a slow, club pitch but Vince and his opening partner Michael Carberry made a mockery of it by putting on 89 in the first seven overs.They made a relatively slow start but the floodgates opened in the third over when Carberry hit Kyle Mills, the New Zealand fast bowler, for four, four, six, four, four and two.Two overs later, England Lions batsman Vince followed suit by cracking Gurjit Sandhu for five successive fours and when Carberry thumped Neil Dexter for a four and two sixes in the same over Hampshire had plundered 83 from the Powerplay.Middlesex needed a huge slice of luck to break the stand when Vince drove Ravi Patel straight back down the pitch and Patel, the left-arm spinner, deflected the ball into the stumps to run out Carberry, who had made 43 off 16 balls with five fours and three sixes.But there was no respite for Middlesex, as Jimmy Adams helped Vince add another 70 in eight overs before Vince, who had hit 12 fours and two sixes, drove Sandhu to Paul Stirling to deep mid-off.
