So some of the best bowlers in the world do battle over here.”We knew it was going to be tough but it’s just about grinding away. They weren’t just going to walk off. You’ve got to keep going and really try to apply some pressure and move your field and just try little things, which is what we did. Maxi got that breakthrough and after that it got a little bit easier. I was prepared. The two Tests I’ve played previously were that tough. I know how tough it can be.”Doherty turned a few balls past the bat and had a very close lbw shout turned down when Pujara was on 174 but eventually claimed his first wicket when R Ashwin edged to second slip. Before that delivery, Doherty’s Test bowling average had crept up to 143.33, but by the end of the innings his three wickets had brought it down to 72.83. He conceded that until the edge from Ashwin, it felt like a breakthrough just wasn’t going to come.”It was starting to look that way, particularly with that close lbw which I thought was pretty good,” Doherty said. “Things just didn’t seem to be going my way. I was trying to work out my Test bowling average there at one stage because I came into the game at a hundred. In the last five or six overs, it was just more pleasing how the ball started to come out. It did take a while for it to take a bit of rhythm. To get a couple of wickets was nice as well.”Doherty knows that his place in the team is far from secure and that offspinner Nathan Lyon will be in contention for a recall for the third Test in Mohali. A phlegmatic type of player who takes criticism in his stride and knows his game well, Doherty said he was not fussed by the debate around his place in the team, including comments from Stuart MacGill last week that he “is not a Test bowler”.”I am well aware there are people that want me in the team and people that don’t want me in the team,” he said, “but that is the nature of being at this level.”

كشفت تقارير صحفية إسبانية، عن القبض على عدد من المشجعين، قاموا بشنق دُمية تحمل رقم لاعب فريق ريال مدريد الأول لكرة القدم، فينيسيوس جونيور.

ألقت الشرطة الوطنية في إسبانيا القبض على 4 شبان، علقوا دمية على جسر مدريد، بقميص واسم فينيسيوس جونيور، في 26 يناير الماضي.

وحسب ما علمت قناة “CASO AlBierto” الإسبانية، وهي قناة تحقيق إسبانية، فقد تم اعتقال الأربعة في وقت مبكر من صباح اليوم، من قبل الشرطة.

كما فتح مكتب المدعي العام في فالنسيا، تحقيقًا لتحديد ما إذا كانت الإهانات التي تعرض لها فينيسيوس في مباراة فالنسيا أول أمس، تشكل جريمة كراهية أخرى.

Tamim Iqbal had a long talk with Jahurul Islam on the eve of the first ODI against Sri Lanka. In the discussion between one batsman who hasn’t scored an international hundred for nearly two years and another who is known to possess a perceptive mind, the dominant topic had to be the hundred that wasn’t coming for Tamim.When it finally came in the form of 112 runs that gave Bangladesh a genuine chance to win the first ODI, Tamim was quick to thank his opening partner from the Colombo Test and someone he has known for a long time.”The biggest inspiration for this hundred was Jahurul Islam,” Tamim told ESPNcricinfo. “We stayed up till 11.30 last night and discussed some important points. It really worked for me.”I was talking to myself every ball after reaching 50. I wanted to keep my process in shape but then after I had hit a boundary, a current passed through my body. I gave a catch but it got dropped. Riyad told me to go to the 70s and then think clearly. Nasir helped out too.”Jahurul’s advice wasn’t just from outside the field. When he would walk in with the drinks as one of the substitutes, there were more words of encouragement for Tamim. “He reminded me of what he had talked about last night. He told me to that if I try to bat for 40 overs, I can score a hundred. So I would like to thank him. Jahurul is a big part of this century.”He also said that if a batsman makes 30, he starts thinking of a 50. So when you will reach 70 or 80, you will automatically start thinking of a 100. He has often batted at a high strike-rate, but hasn’t played the long innings often enough. There was no serious criticism of his inability to convert half-centuries into hundreds but it was a concern for him and he had mentioned it a few times over the past year.He took his time on Saturday, moving from 80 to 100 in 41 deliveries and moved from nine to ten boundaries in 45 balls. Before and after however, he was at his best. He brought out some excellent shots, and though he survived an easy drop by Angelo Mathews on 54, he didn’t want to look back or give it away again.”I got a hundred after two and a half years. Someone asked me if I have the passion to be one of the best players in the world. That stuck on my mind and I continued to think about it.”I was sharing with [Jahurul Islam] Omi last night the wrong things I have been doing or what I should do. I was a bit lucky today, I got a life on 54. I think I batted brilliantly after that.”On the day that he ended his century drought, Tamim suffered a hairline fracture while fielding which will sideline him for the next four-six weeks.

Agora, quis o destino que Dedé, pelo Campinense, enfrentasse o clube que o formou pela primeira fase da Copa do Brasil. O decisivo duelo será realizado nesta quarta-feira, às 21h30 (de Brasília), no Estádio Amigão.

Em entrevista ao LANCE!, Dedé, de 25 anos, contou como se sente com o jogo diante do Botafogo, algo que será inédito em sua carreira. Além disso, externou a confiança quanto à vaga à próxima fase do torneio – para isso, o Campinense terá que vencer, uma vez que o empate favorece o Botafogo.

– Sou muito feliz por ter feito minha base no Botafogo e ter subido aos profissionais. Foi o clube que abriu as portas para mim. Tenho que encarar o reencontro com muita naturalidade, pois ofutebol é dinâmico, hoje estou aqui, amanhã posso estar no Botafogo novamente…. Para nós, é uma oportunidade gigantesca poder vencer e passar de fase. Temos que agir.

E, sobre o jogo de quarta, acreditamos totalmente na nossa vitória. Vencemos o clássico e somos líderes do grupo. Isso tudo ajuda para dar confiança e superar uma equipe grande, de Série A. Respeitamos o Botafogo, mas estamos muito confiante no nosso trabalho – salientou o meio-campista, que atuou em quatro jogos, entre 2013 e 2014, pelos profissionais do Glorioso.

Por que você acha que não conseguiu ter uma sequência no Botafogo?
– Foram muitos fatores para eu não ter tido uma sequência. O time, que era treinado pelo Oswaldo, estava encaixado e era experiente. O meio-campo era muito forte e tinha peças de reposição. De garoto, tinha o Lucas Zen, que já estava há três anos na base. No outro, o professor Oswaldo saiu e eu, não sei por que, o Botafogo contratou nove volantes. Mas a vida segue, algo totalmente normal no futebol, é o que tinha que acontecer. Tenho que seguir de cabeça erguida e procurar o meu espaço.

Dedé também já passou por Bangu, Boavista, Cabofriense, Portuguesa-RJ,Rio Branco-ES e Tupy-ES

Eainda ainda acompanha o Botafogo?
– Hoje em dia, acompanho pouco o Botafogo. Os amigos que eu tinha saíram, a geração é outra e não conheço muito a galera atual. Acompanhei para torcer para o clube e a minha safra antes, mas hoje acompanho pouco.

وكان ريال مدريد قد أعلن الأسبوع الماضي، رحيل كل من كريم بنزيما وماريانو دياز وماركو أسينسيو بعد انتهاء عقودهم، وتم فسخ العقد بالتراضي مع إيدين هازارد، حيث كان ينوي البقاء حتى نهاية عقده في يونيو 2024.

ناتشو فرنانديز صاحب الـ33 عاما لم يعرف تمثيل أي فريق في حياته المهنية سوى ريال مدريد، حيث لعب في فريق تحت 19 عاما لمدة موسم وانتقل للفريق الثاني، وقضى معهم 4 مواسم، ثم أصبح لاعبا في الفريق الأول منذ صيف 2013، كما أنه خاض أول مباراة دولية في 10 سبتمبر 2013 مع منتخب إسبانيا.
