وفي الدقيقة 62، سجل هالاند هدف التعادل لـ مانشستر سيتي، بعد تمريرة من برناردو سيلفا لداخل منطقة الجزاء حصل عليها فودين ثم أرسل عرضية رائعة ارتقى لها النرويجي بالرأس لتُصبح النتيجة 2-2.

وتمكن هالاند من تسجيل الهدف الثاني له في المباراة والثالث لـ مانشستر سيتي، بعد تمريرات متبادلة بين لاعبي مانشستر سيتي، ليتمكن النرويجي في الأخير من وضع الكرة في الشباك.

وواصل هالاند تألقه في المباراة ليُسجل الهدف الثالث له (هاتريك)، وتُصبح النتيجة 4-2، بعد تمريرة بينية رائعة من الألماني إلكاي جوندوجان والنرويجي حصل على الكرة بشكل رائع ثم سدد في المرمى، ليتقنص لفريقه ثلاث نقاط هامة.

Aston Villa are considering a move to appoint Paulo Fonseca as Dean Smith’s successor at Villa Park.

What’s the talk?

That’s according to a report by the Daily Record, who claim that Aston Villa chief executive Christian Purslow is finalising his shortlist of candidates for the vacant Villa managerial position on Tuesday, with one of the targets identified being the former AS Roma manager.

The report continues to state that Fonseca’s representatives have already contacted Villa in order to formally throw the 48-year-old’s hat into the ring, suggesting that the Portuguese coach would be more than willing to take over from Smith.

He could be worth the risk

While Aston Villa’s precarious 16th place league position would lend favour to the club appointing a coach who boasts the previous experience of Premier League management – as, should a foreign coach fail to adapt their style of play to the English game quickly enough, the results could well be disastrous for Villa – Fonseca may well be a candidate who is worth the risk for NSWE.

Indeed, having led FC Pacos de Ferreira to a highly impressive third-place finish in Liga NOS back in 2012/13, the 48-year-old repeated a similar feat with SC Braga a few years later – sealing a fourth-place finish in the league and winning the Portuguese Cup with Os Arcebispos.

This led to Shakhtar Donetsk appointing Fonseca in the summer of 2016, with the Ukrainian side going on to win three consecutive league titles under the Portuguese manager, in addition to three Ukrainian Cups, one Ukrainian Super Cup and reaching the last 16 of the Champions League in 2017/18.

Once again, this led to another step up for the 48-year-old, being handed a two-year deal by Serie A side Roma in 2019, with former club president Jim Pallotta stating upon his arrival: “Paulo is a young and ambitious coach with international experience, a winning mentality and a reputation for bold, attacking football that will excite our fans.”

However, despite leading I Giallorossi to an impressive fifth-place finish and reaching the Europa League round of 16 during his debut season in Rome, Fonseca left the club just one season later, following a slightly underwhelming seventh-place finish in Serie A and being trounced 8-4 on aggregate by Manchester United in the Europa League semi-final.

Despite this final season at Roma, however, it is clear to see that the man who Massimo Ambrosini dubbed a “modern” manager is a coach who has a history of achieving success with a number of unfavoured sides, as well as one who can get his team playing bold, exciting and attacking football – all of which suggest that the 48-year-old could well be worthy of a shot at Villa Park.

وكان الزمالك قد حسم بطولة الدوري في الجولة السابقة وحصد اللقب للمرة الثانية على التوالي والرابعة عشر في تاريخه.

Despite enjoying a successful run of form prior to the current international break, remaining unbeaten in their four previous league games, there have been some figures in the Southampton squad that have failed to prove themselves as important players for Ralph Hasenhuttl.

One of which is 23-year-old winger Moussa Djenepo, who has yet to score a goal or provide an assist in nine appearances across all competitions so far this season.

With five starts and two substitute appearances under his belt in the Premier League this season, Djenepo, who is currently valued at £11.7m according to Transfermarkt, has not featured in any of Southampton’s three previous league games, not even making the bench for their 1-0 win over Watford at Vicarage Road.

Southampton signed Djenepo back in the 2019 summer transfer window from Standard Liege in a deal worth a reported fee of £15m.

Since then, the winger has made a total of 60 appearances for the Saints across all competitions, scoring just four goals and providing two assists in the process, showing that he has not been terribly consistent in front of goal for the club, which seems to have been the case this season as well.

During his time on the pitch in the Premier League this season, Djenepo has managed to lose possession of the ball 81 times in total and rack up a poor average of 0.1 shots on target per game, showing that he hasn’t tested many goalkeepers that he’s come up against when he’s had the chance to play.

A prime example of this came during Southampton’s 2-2 draw against Newcastle United back in August where Djenepo missed a great chance from the six-yard box, which was then described as “unbelievable” by Hasenhuttl for all the wrong reasons.

The Mali international has not proven himself to be a useful defensive player for the Saints either with an average of just 0.3 interceptions per game, 0.7 clearances per game and 41% of duels won.

All in all, Djenepo’s performances in the league this season have earned him a rather uninspiring overall rating of 6.33/10, making him one of Southampton’s lowest-rated players of the season according to WhoScored. On that basis, it wouldn’t be a great surprise if he was shown the exit door at some point in the next 12 months, something that would sadly be deserved based on his poor showings at St Mary’s.

Taking all of this into account, it’s hard to see Djenepo gaining his place back in the team for a consistent run anytime soon, and even though he’s only 23, the winger hasn’t really proven himself to the manager or to the club that they made the right decision in signing him and thus, he should be axed.

Em alguns momentos, vai acontecer. Ainda bem que tivemos o resultado. Agora, é continuar trabalhando, porque as coisas ainda serão muito difícil.

Como fazer o jogo ideal?
Não tem aquilo seu seja o ideal. Na semana anterior viemos pra cá, lamentamos o empate em função da produção que tivemos contra o Corinthians. Não fizemos um jogo do mesmo nível anterior. mas sustentamos um resultado que seria fundamental. O Sport estava solto, estava leve no gramado. A gente com a preocupação de se proteger. Não vimos o mesmo comportamento da semana anterior, temos que corrigir, intensificar, buscando aperfeiçoar o que foi visto e reconhecer que foi na base da luta, entrega e comprometimento. Em outros momentos tivemos os resultados a favor e abrimos mão dele no fim. a equipe precisava de um resultado como esse. Foi um bom espetáculo onde a as equipes procuraram o gol. Foi um jogo disputado.
