It’s been a nightmare few months for the Red Devils both on and off the pitch. Away from the action, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS continue to rule with an iron fist, making further redundancies recently and extending their cost-cutting measures to more and more extreme lengths. Meanwhile, as those redundancies take place, it’s those on the pitch who are continuing to fail.

Amorim’s side sit in the depths of the Premier League’s bottom half with just five wins in 16 league games in the four months of the 40-year-old’s reign. And as money continues to be the talking point at Old Trafford, it remains to be seen whether Manchester United can even afford the extensive rebuild they so desperately need to suit Amorim’s system.

That hasn’t stopped the rumours from coming thick and fast though. According to reports in Spain, Manchester United are now preparing an offer worth €80m (£67m) to sign Marc Casado from Barcelona this summer.

Whilst the La Liga giants are not overly keen on selling their midfielder anytime soon, their own financial concerns may well tempt them into accepting such a hefty offer this summer.

Given that Amorim reportedly likes the young Spaniard, Casado could be one to watch when the transfer window swings open this summer.

Whether it’s been Bruno Fernandes and Manuel Ugarte or Casemiro dropping in as well as Kobbie Mainoo, one problem area that Manchester United have is at the base of their midfield in Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 system. The double pivot has simply lacked consistent faces to form a partnership and it could be argued that Fernandes should be in one of the advanced roles rather than sitting deep, taking him out of the equation.

What’s left after the captain steps forward is a combination formed between Mainoo, Ugarte and Casemiro. And whilst the natural choice should be Mainoo and Ugarte given how Casemiro has fallen away from his best form in the last two seasons, injury problems mean that the Red Devils could do with an added option. That’s where Casado could come in.

At just 21 years old, the midfielder could partner Mainoo for years to come at Old Trafford and end any doubts at the heart of Amorim’s system.

The La Masia graduate has taken full advantage of his opportunities in the current campaign, even scoring once and assisting an impressive six times to earn the praise of Jacek Kulig. The football talent scout dubbed his season “incredible” back in October.

Com o passar do tempo, o Corinthians deu campo para o adversário, mas a equipe da casa estava bem postada na defesa, e o time de Dorival Jr não conseguia furar o bloqueio. Porém, a estratégia de Vítor Pereira caiu por terra quando a defesa corintiana se preocupou mais em reclamar com o árbitro do que marcar Arrascaeta, que acertou belo chute e marcou um lindo gol.

Arsenal cruised through to the Champions League quarter-finals after beating PSV Eindhoven 9-3 on aggregate over the course of their two-legged Champions League last 16 tie, with Arteta’s side set to take on Real Madrid in the next round.

The Gunners boss praised just how atmospheric the Emirates Stadium was on Wednesday evening, despite the tie being a foregone conclusion, and Arteta will be hoping for more of the same when Carlo Ancelotti and co make the trip to north London.

As a result, £160,000-per-week Newcastle United star Bruno Guimaraes has emerged as a serious target for them.

Indeed, it is believed that Berta “will try” to sign Guimaraes for Arsenal this summer, alongside Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi, who’s been heavily linked since January.

The Brazilian, who’s bagged eight assists from midfield in all competitions, is a highly creative and crucial mainstay starter for Eddie Howe, not to mention the Magpies captain, so his signing would be a hugely ambitious one from Berta.

When Andrea Berta officially starts his role as Arsenal’s new sporting director, the pressure will be on immediately to deliver a successful transfer window.

The last couple of windows have been a bit of a disaster for the Gunners, failing to sign anyone in the winter and bringing in the likes of Riccardo Calafiori and Mikel Merino last summer.

Merino has performed admirably as a centre-forward in the absence of Kai Havertz through injury while Calafiori clearly has plenty of potential, just can’t stay off the treatment table.

There has been an alarming lack of a striker and that’s where Berta’s primary focus must be when the market opens in June.

In this instance, however, it’s Hugo Ekitike. That comes courtesy of a report from journalist Graeme Bailey who reported on Thursday that Arsenal have begun talks to sign the French striker from Frankfurt this summer.

Frankfurt have only just lost Omar Marmoush to Manchester City but could have another highly-rated forward stolen away from them.

The report states that ‘Arsenal have asked to be kept informed’ about Ekitike’s situation in Germany having already held ‘preliminary discussions to sign the striker’.

Valued at around £70m, Liverpool and Aston Villa have also asked to be kept up to date with the player’s availability heading into the next transfer window.

Whoever the leading centre-forward at Arsenal is, they’re always going to get compared to the great Thierry Henry.

The French superstar departed the Emirates as the club’s all-time leading goalscorer having found the net on 228 occasions in Arsenal colours.

Since then, it’s been a case of trial and error. Robin van Persie, a multiple Premier League Golden Boot winner, lit up north London, Alexis Sanchez did similar and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also ended one campaign as the Premier League’s top marksman.

However, for every Van Persie and Sanchez, there has been a Marouane Chamakh, a laboured Alexandre Lacazette and an injury-prone Gabriel Jesus.

Jesus and Havertz are currently out for the season, only heightening the need for a new striker and they could find just the man they’re looking for in Ekitike.

The scorer of 19 goals in 38 games this term, the French sensation has notably been described as “the next Kylian Mbappe” by the aforementioned Bailey while scout Jacek Kulig has suggested that the 22-year-old’s most similar player is Henry. Not bad company to be alongside, is it?

وشارك ديمبلي بديلاً في فوز باريس سان جيرمان على إنتر ميامي ببطولة كأس العالم للأندية 2025، مساء السبت.

وقال ديمبلي في تصريحاته إلى “DAZN”: “أردت أن أستعيد إيقاع اللعب، لم ألعب لمدة ثلاثة أسابيع، وهذا أفادني كثيرًا”.

وأضاف: “بعد الإصابة التي تعرضت لها في دوري الأمم الأوروبية (في الفخذ الأيسر خلال خسارة نصف النهائي أمام إسبانيا بنتيجة 4-5)، أخبرت الجهاز الفني أنني أريد أن آخذ وقتي لأستعيد لياقتي”.
